Launched in 1997, Carter Mario Injury Lawyers' annual Helmets for Kids program is a statewide bicycle helmet giveaway in which the firm donates nearly 1,000 bicycle helmets to Connecticut children each year.
Helmets are primarily distributed from the law firm's offices in Hartford, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Milford, and New Britain. We also are planning to partner with community bicycle and civic organizations in the Greater New Haven area to distribute helmets to children in need in South Central Connecticut.
"If we can save just one child from an injury on his or her bike, then all of our efforts are worth it," said Carter Mario, avid cyclist and president of the law firm. "Our Helmets for Kids program lends a helping hand and protects the children of this state from bicycle injuries, which is why we have invested so heavily in this program. It's something we all care about deeply."
We also hold monthly drawings to give away gas cards to locals who proudly display the firm's "Get Carter" sticker or magnet on their cars. To get your sticker and for a chance to win a gas card, come by one of our office locations. There are two ways to win:
Winners are randomly chosen each month and contacted by our customer service department. Once a person enters, his or her name will remain eligible for the drawing for the duration of the giveaway.
We're also taking a stand against distracted driving by placing public service messages warning motorists about distracted driving on hundreds of transit busses throughout Connecticut.
