When potential clients meet with our Connecticut Medical Malpractice Attorneys, they often ask how we get information from the hospital to determine what happened. Here, we’ll answer a few questions about how we do it.
Something went wrong at the hospital but we don't really know what happened and no one will explain it to us. How will you figure out what went wrong?
We investigate hospital malpractice cases by carefully reviewing all of the medical records and consulting with experts. With a nurse-lawyer and doctor-lawyer on our malpractice team, we are able to read and interpret the medical records to figure out what happened, and whether you have a case.
If the hospital wants to have a meeting with me to discuss what happened, should I go?
Call us first. These meetings can be very helpful to understand what happened. Sometimes, you are best protected if we come to the meeting with you. On the other hand, sometimes it is better for the family to attend without an attorney, but ask permission to tape-record the meeting. We will help you decide how to best handle the situation.
The Connecticut Personal Injury Lawyers with Carter Mario Injury Lawyers believe that doctors and medical staff have a responsibility to protect the well-being of patients. Failure to do so could be considered negligent, and anyone who has suffered because of such a mistake is encouraged by the firm to explore their legal rights.
