This means that private insurers or self-insured employers will pay benefits to an injured employee, even if the accident was the employee’s fault.
The system is designed to help workers injured on the job or with an occupational disease
Workers’ comp will provide necessary medical treatment, weekly benefits when disabled, and benefits for scarring, disfigurement, or a permanent physical impairment.
Connecticut Workers’ Compensation system coverage can’t be
There are two exceptions to this rule:
1) Officers of a corporation or partners operating partnerships who request in writing to be excluded from coverage
2) If a stipulated settlement of an individual claim is approved by a Commissioner.
