Simsbury Teen Killed in Car Crash

Students from Simsbury High School in Simsbury, Connecticut, gathered to make signs and remember the life of one of their own Sunday afternoon following an accident the night before that killed one student and injured three others. Eyewitness News 3 reports, the young man killed would have been a senior this fall at the school.

The crash occurred around 1:00 AM on Sunday morning at the corner of Old Meadow Plains Road and Oak Glen Court. Details regarding what caused the accident are under investigation with Simsbury Police and the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad.

All four of the passengers in the vehicle were transported to local hospitals to be treated for injuries. The young man who died succumbed to his injuries while under the care of the medical staff at the hospital. Friends of the other victims said they are expected to fully recover.

Students have made several signs at the school remembering the teen. One of the largest was painted on a sheet in red, green, and black spray paint and read, “Rest in Peace…Forever Loved.”
