In an effort to help prevent Connecticut auto accident lawyers from occurring this coming holiday weekend, both local and state law enforcement will be conducting both sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols.

A story from the Durham-Middlefield Patch explained beginning this afternoon and running through Sunday night, the Connecticut State Patrol will have extra manpower on hand both in and out of uniform. Seatbelt checkpoints are scheduled to take place at a number of locations as well, including:

DUI patrols will also be conducted throughout each of the towns.

Along with increased enforcement, troopers have been working with local high schools to promote students partaking in a drug and alcohol free prom campaign. Today, students are wearing blue and white to school to show their support of the program.

Officials have also been asking parents to discuss the risks of drinking and driving with their teens in an effort to curtail the behavior.

The Connecticut Injury Lawyers with Carter Mario Injury Lawyers would also like to encourage motorists to refrain from getting behind the wheel of a vehicle if they have consumed any amount of alcohol.
