A New Haven Motorcycle Accident that occurred earlier this week claimed the life of a 25-year-old man from Hamden, Connecticut. Reports indicate the fatal crash occurred this past Wednesday, at approximately 7 p.m., at the corner of Dixwell Avenue and Pond Street on the north side of town.

According to a story from WTNH 8 News, the victim was traveling southbound on Dixwell Avenue on his motorcycle. At the same time, a Chevrolet Camaro being driven by a 30-year-old West Haven man was heading north along the road. As the driver of the Camaro began to approach the intersection with Pond Street, he attempted to make a left turn onto the street in front of the oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcyclist attempted to avoid a collision by dropping the bike to the asphalt and skidding, but he was thrown from the machine. The Camaro then struck him as it continued its attempt to make a left turn onto Pond.

Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the injured motorcyclist to a local hospital, but he died shortly after arrival.

The accident highlights the need for motorists to be more aware of motorcycles on the road. That is why the Connecticut Personal Injury Lawyers with Carter Mario Injury Lawyers urge motorists to look twice in both directions before entering traffic at an intersection.
