The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has partnered with Healthy Life Chemistry, manufacturer of the Purity First B-50 supplement, to issue a recall of the product because it contains ingredients that are not listed on the packaging and could lead to users suffering a serious Drug Injury.

According to an FDA Press Release, the B-50 tablet is marketed as an all-natural dietary supplement that can be used to boost energy; however, testing has shown the product may actually contain two anabolic steroids, methastrone and dimethazine.

Taking a product containing these two ingredients could lead users to suffer adverse health events including:

Taking such anabolic steroids can also lead to a higher risk of stroke and heart attack, among other side effects. So far, a total of 29 reports have been submitted to the FDA regarding consumers suffering health problems associated with taking the product.

Anyone in possession of the Purity First B-50 supplement should halt its use immediately and properly dispose of any remaining tablets. If your health has been negatively affected by use of the supplement, the issue should be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch program.

The Connecticut Personal Injury Lawyers with Carter Mario Injury Lawyers recognize the dangers taking a product containing unknown ingredients can pose. The firm urges anyone who has been harmed by taking the Purity First B-50 supplement to discuss their legal options with an attorney.
