CarterCares was excited to participate in the Great Strides Walk 2015 earlier this month.
The Great Strides Walk is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest fundraising event. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening disease that causes lung infections and progressively limits the ability to breathe.
The cause hit close to home for one member of our staff who has a
good friend battling Cystic Fibrosis. It was an honor to meet such a strong woman and to raise awareness about the disease.
A group of more than 20 of our Carter Mario staff and their families came together for the walk.
According to the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s website, in 2015 the foundation’s chapters hosted more than 500 Great Strides fundraising walks that attracted more than 150,000 participants. More than $42 million was raised to support CF research.
